Black Rose // Part Thirteen

Selena awoke herself out of an unconscious haze, body numb. It was a horrible feeling, even though she could not feel the strangling grasp of pain, there was a some what unnatural feeling of not being able to feel your toes, fingers, in fact the rest of your body. Scared that she might have hurt her spine, (This had always been her biggest fear, being bound to a wheel chair for the rest of your life.) she strained her eyes to look at Nick, even though her vision was only in shadows at that moment. Then, like the wave falling against the beach with an almighty crash, feeling of pain shot back through Selena's limbs, chest, everywhere. "Nick..." She called, even though she knew it was barly above a hushed whisper. Flicking her eyes back onto her own body, from what she could see their was no external ingeries, only small cuts from where the windscreen had imploded. Selena braved moving an arm even though the pain nearly shot her back in unconsciousness, she muttered, "Are you okay?" He felt Selena stir, and heard her movement. He looked at her, as if he had no clue as to who she was. Her name escaped him, but then it came back. "Selena." he stated, in a tone that said you are here and your name is Selena. Pain was just surging through him like a permanent electric shock at a thousand volts.
